Oh my!!!
Daisy was just 2 pounds when you wrote the list on February
6th!!!! That was only 8 days ago. No wonder Daisy can't deliver
puppies without a C-section. This is tragic!!! There is no way at
all that such a teeny Chi could ever free whelp a litter. No wait &
see situation.
I hate to sound unsympathetic, but you should have immediately spayed
such a tiny girl after a Yorkie bred her! The heck with keeping
Becky happy. Then, this poor little Chi girl wouldn't be in the
situation that she is now in. If nothing else, a spay would have
been a lot less expensive than a C-section. Plus far safer. For a 2
pound Chi, even a pregnancy can be life threatening. As a dog
breeder yourself, you had to realize this.
If Daisy truly is only two pounds, I'm surprised that she can even
carry 3 pups. I'd be afraid her uterus might rupture even before
delivery. This now goes beyond my imagination. It also goes beyond
any farther advice I can offer. I feel very bad for Daisy. What a
horrible thing to happen to an 8 1/2 month old, 2 pound Chihuahua.
