Evelyn, sounds like our pups have a lot in common. Elmo will charge from the patio to the fence line, stop and madly bark and then suddenly look over his shoulder to make sure I'm there. I'm not sure if that's for reassurance or if I'm supposed to be applauding. Both, most likely <g>.

Our neighbors have two very big King Shepherds that are separating us by a wooden fence with small gaps in between. I have two chis and just one of them will try to get to the two shepherds. She barks and barks and they bark and bark back. I know for sure that is she were to ever come face to face with them, she would scream and run the other way. She always acts really tuff when she if far away and changes her tune quickly when the object of her so called "attack" comes close. That said, she is never out alone, unsupervised, just in case she ever does find a way to get to the other side. Evelyn
