You could get a spray bottle and when he does unwanted behavior give him a quick spray of water in his face…harmless and it worked quickly and well with Dolly & Desi

Okay, my sweet little Gus-Gus just snapped in my S.O.'s face. (Richie) I was sitting here reading emails with him curled up on my lap and Richie came in and said hi to Gus-Gus and bent over to give him a smooch and Gus-Gus gave him a good snap! That was my fear with getting a chi that he might be snappy. How do I teach him not to do that? He is very sweet with my daughter when she comes in and kisses her all over. We've had him less than a week, so do you think he will get used to Richie eventually or is this just one of those things? I've watched the Animal Planet show with Victoria Stillwell and had seen her deal with snappy dogs, so I immediately put him on the floor when he snapped, but is there anything else I should be doing? Thanks! Patti in Upstate NY Regan, LuLu, Zack, Zoey & Gus-Gus Farley <3 RIP 2/6/11
