Yes.my house only has carpet in the bedrooms. I have tile floors on the rest right now, and I am thinking of getting laminate at least in the master bedroom. Here in North Las Vegas there is fine sand that blows in and then it settles on the floors and stays there. The swiffer picks up dust but not sand. The tile that I have is not smooth which makes it worse. I have seen the cleaner at the Oreck store that rotates and buffs and I was going to rent it for a weekend to see how it works.it uses dry cleaner to clean the floors. But, my neck is in a very tenuous state right now, and I fear that using the machine that rotates might be too much vibration for the disks in my neck.
My Hoover FloorMate does vacuuming and wet cleaning, but it is only for hard floors. It is amazing for pet hair. Dyson will let you return any product you don't like.
