My dogs love the little treats that look like tiny steaks.we call them pork
chops Natures Recipe Training Treats. Another thing that mine love (and
again it is small and doesn't cost a fortune) are the Charlee Bear treats.
I have some other treats but Dolly keeps going to the counter where the
canister with the Charlee Bear treats are.she loves them and they are small
enough that they don't fill up their bellies so that they don't want to eat
their food.

Funny about your story.I had some candy cane shaped rawhide bones. I used
to take off the red and green rawhide strips that wrap around them so that
Dolly wouldn't choke on them. The Christmas card picture this year wasn't
going well until I gave one to each of them.Desi will stay in place if he
has a bone.and that is about it! So I took them away after the picture
shoot and one night they were in my front bedroom and smelled the bones in
the box. I gave one to each not thinking about taking the strips off.
Dolly was all excited and even was growling when Desi came too near to her,
because she was not going to let him steal it away.

Well.she would take hers and then she would come back to me wanting another
and just thought that Desi had taken hers. A few days later I find about
six of them partly chewed and all the strips were chewed off.and neither dog
wanted to chew them then! I am thinking that once they forget about the
strips that they may want to chew on the bones!

I bought Keeper some new treats last night. They were dried apple slices
wrapped in dried chicken. He usually loves the dried chicken strips so I
thought he might like a change. Well he took the treats last night and
carried them into his little kitty cube that he sleeps in. This morning he
comes out with the apple slices sans chicken and tries desperately to bury
the apple bits under some blankets and toys away from his cube. I guess he
doesn't like the apple part. It was very funny to watch him using his nose
and dragging blankets over the apple pieces so he wouldn't have to smell/see
them. Anybody have treat ideas their puppies like?
