It has been sealed up.

Desi is actually doing very well. I think he just ate a squeaker and I
think it is safe to say that it must have passed because things are looking
normal. Tomorrow I am going to start mixing the two foods together so that
he can get back to his normal food (however, having to hand feed him until I
figure out a way that his kibble can be distributed evenly and slow, the ID
is bigger and doesn't take so much time for him to eat. He also tends to
chew more on the ID because it is bigger.

Dolly is the one that is lingering.I think she is probably having a colitis
flare-up. She has been very stressed with Desi jumping on her, me having to
be gone more often, and I think she must have eaten some leaves on the
patio. I am happy that I can get her to eat the pumpkin, canned food, and
pedialyte and she seems to be a little more playful than the last couple of
days. I want to get her going normal several days before I stop the pumpkin
so as to not stop before everything is feeling better inside.

Me.I eat if I find time.they both get their food when they are supposed
to.some days it is 10 pm and I realize that I didn't eat.I will have to work
on that!

Joan, if that kibble is 2 years old then it could be contributing to the
problem. Just a thought because dog food does go bad.

That's just what he said.

I have a bag of the ID kibble from almost two years ago. Dolly won't eat
it, so when Desi has diarrhea it takes it away pretty quickly. Dolly won't
eat it, so I give her a little canned food with a little pumpkin and some
pedialyte.she likes it. She is having some poopy problems.I just came home
from a walk with Dolly & Desi. She pooped three times and the first part
looked OK and then there was a little of a yellow/orange color.and then the
next time it was the yellow/orange color and more wet, and then the third
time it was more wet than the time before. I have to put her on the pumpkin
diet again. Usually she goes potty in the back yard and I can see that she
is pooping, but that makes it hard for me to see if she was the one with
diarrhea. Desi had the yellow bile that came up a few days ago, that is why
he is on ID right now. I just assumed the diarrhea was his because he was
sick, but maybe it is Dolly that is sick. A little pumpkin and pedialyte
isn't going to hurt her. I just wonder what the two of them have been
eating outside.I may just take a sample of her droppings and have it looked
at. She shouldn't have worms.but she is the one that had colitis when she
was a baby!

It seems kind of silly to go and buy some I/D Science diet for diarrhea.
Most diarrhea is of a short nature. If it is a long and constant thing then
there are underlying issues.

I messaged my vet about the diarrhea:

The I/D diet by Hills is the best to stop diarrhea. I am not a big fan of
Pepto Bismol i do not think it works well for dogs with diarrhea. I would
try chicken and rice or I/D and make sure the pet is free of parasites. If
that is not working i would have the pet seen.
