Hi everyone, I'm writing a mass e-mail because I had so many and my laptop charger doesn t fit into the plug here in Osaka. Yes, Osaka. Our flight out of Dallas was delayed and when we were about to land in Tokyo the captain came on and said that there had been an earthquake and flights were being diverted. So we just looped around for a while, and I puked!!! GROSS! But I am feeling better now. We then were supposed to go to Nagoya but too many planes were going there, so we came to Osaka. We sat on the runway for about 2 hours and finally took a bus to the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Osaka. Super fancy, 28 story hotel. I am only on the 8th floor though. We are here for the night (it's 10:30 Friday night here) and are leaving around 8 to go back to the Osaka airport. We are either going to try and catch our plane out of Tokyo to take a bullet train. The teachers at Shinonome are worried because they didn't know where we were, but I had no way of getting in touch with them. I've just called one of the host families and she said that Tokyo Narita airport is open for outgoing flights, bu that we should just take a bullet train because it will be faster. Bullet trains are pricey though, so I am not sure what we will end up doing. I'll do my best to keep you all posted. We are all fine, the kids are in great spirits, but we are just super tired It has been a very long two days! I love you all very, very much! Devon -- Ann
