Awww, poor little sweetheart.  You innocently watering your plants, Vida
thinking the nightmare was happening all over again. Dani being scolded (have
to maintain discipline) and Vida thinking the worst is coming down. What a
quandary you're in, between your two guys, (lol), but at least one created from
love. Your plea for help (ha) -- I'm sure you'll figure out what feels like the
right decision for you.  Either way, Vida wins.  She's safe now!

Lynn it made me feel terrible when she ran tail tucked in to the house. Not too
much else has bothered her. If I have to scold Dani for being too ruff with the
other girls, or for taking something that isn't hers, I do notice Vida cowers
some. She has been through allot, but not anymore!!
Now how do I tell my ex husband that was interested in her, I don't think I can
give her up. LOL.  & to tell my boyfriend, I don't want to adopt her out...?
Help.. Hehe

Isn't that sad Beth, makes me feel sick inside. About Vida's reaction to your
garden hose. And you're so sweet to reassure her that she'll not be
mistreated ever again.  It is just beyond me how anyone can mistreat precious
animals that bring so much joy, laughter and love into our lives. That is so
true, it can be very expensive to save just one, as you said, the big vet
bills to get them to a healthy state. It must bring you great joy though, that
you rescued one, one less frightened to bits of the unknown, or worse, put to
death.  It does me and I don't even really know you, but sure do love your
heart.  Bless you.

I am too Lynn. This is my first rescue, but there are several more that I wish
I could go save. If I had a bank account as big as my heart I would do it in a
moments notice!
It so sad that they come out so sick. I think people would do more rescues if
the dogs weren't so sick!! Knowing they are going too put out a bunch of money,
and go through allot of worry and heart ache, and even death of there new pup.
I learned something about little Vida yesterday. I went out to water some new
plants I had planted over the weekend. When I unreeled the hose she took off
like lightning!  & it hit me why she did this. When I was at the shelter that
day they were spraying the kennels down with a hose. I am sure they sprayed the
dogs too.. I went in and told her it was okay, she would never be sprayed
again.. I am not sure she understood, but I will know in the future that its
something she is afraid of.
