Yes, I agree too, with Patti, about being cautious about your final name
choice that you begin saying to the puppy (they learn fast) to test it out,
but not quite certain of yet. Our neighbor got a darling new puppy (Coton
de tulears) late last summer, flown in from FL, while her son was still
home from college and he kept saying the puppy was 'the boss', while they were
trying to come up with a suitable name that they all agreed upon, and yep,
you guessed it, this beautiful white dog ended up being named, "Bossy",
which sounds to me a bit to me like a female cow's name (lol), but, oh well,
it's their little Bossy. Adorable dog though.

He’s adorable. I actually got my first Chi puppy about a month ago, a boy
that I named Gus Gus after the mouse in the Cinderella cartoon. I thought
Gus Gus was perfect for a Chihuahua, but after several weeks of calling him
that, I’m not liking it as much as I thought I would. I tried to change his
name but my 6 year old daughter would hear nothing of it, and he is coming
to his name, so I’m stuck with it now. I’ve ended up calling him Gussy
most of the time when I call him, which is even worse than Gus Gus. LOL
