Thanks, Peggy.

I am sure that so many centuries ago that 2012 was a date that was so far
away that they predicted it because it did seem so far away. I was looking
at the date and thought maybe it was because of the same forward and
backward, but that would be Dec 2, 2012 - 20121202

You are far from being stupid Joan! Dec 21, 2012 is the day that the Mayan
calender ended. According to history, they had the ability to predict events
into the future and they say that the predictions always came true. So many
people believe that since the calendar ended on Dec21, 2012 it means that is
because that is the day that the world will end. They even made a movie on
it, can't remember the name of it, sorry. It is a very ancient culture,
who wasn't even discovered until centuries later by archeologist. Google
'Mayan calendar, Mayan culture, etc and you will find many links. It is a
fascinating culture, and if you keep linking for their culture, you will
find pictures of their city high up on a plateau and a lot of info on the
Mayan culture, and pictures of the actual calendar.

Would love to see such a precious fine. I saw an article and pictures once
on the Mayan culture, and most of the chi's that they showed, were the
larger deer head type of chi's. They adored the breed. Some literature said
that they would kill the dog, so it could rest with it's master. Another
article said that they buried the dog alive in the tomb with it's master,
and would make a running spring of water and leave tons of food so it could
live out it's life in the tomb while guarding it's master until they were
united again. There is a lot of mystery about their culture, but they were a
highly intelligent culture as well. Guess we will all find out how
intelligent they were when Dec 21, 2012 comes around.

I bought a precious clay figure of a Chihuahua, its modeled on the drawings
found in Mayan ruins of the little dog that would often be buried with its
master to "lead the way to the underworld". I'll take some photos of it
later.
