Be patient Beth, I know for a fact that a couple of woman are working on it.
Any chance of you getting a picture of them with your cell phone? If the
rescue can't trap them, then they may have to call AC to use a catch pole.
Horrible as it sounds, getting hit on the street could be much worse, since
no one will want to pay for their Vetting and then they will just suffer,
and if the workers stop feeding and watering them, that too is worse then
being in the shelter. The lesser of two evils....

Yes the coyotes aren't afraid of people out here. When I ride my horse I see
them all the time. They don't run, they just watch. I once saw a pack of
pups, in a wash, I rode up on them and surprised them, as they did me!
I kept on going, cause I am sure mama was around and I didn't want to take
any chances. Also mountain lions too.
I use to ride way up in the hills alone years ago, but after that one lady
was attacked on her bike, I don't go back that far anymore alone.

Yes I got to the dr. appt okay. Had a long wait once I got there. I was
hoping to get in and out and have some time to get more done at home.. I
didn't have a chance to check on the parking lot dog, but on my way back
from lunch I drove by the building, and sure enough mama dog was heading
around the corner from the lot next door back in to the lot they are living
in. I don't know if the workers are feeding them, there not skin and bones
like Vida was. I have time to go give them more food and water after work
today. I am guessing mama has been on her own for a while as she is active
around the area, just doesn't stay in the lot they are living in.
I hope someone can get them off the streets. I don't want to call animal
control cause I know they both would be put down cause there not the cute
little chi's.. I am doing what I can do to help. I do wish I could do more,
but financially am at my limit, and can't risk taking them home. I truly don
t think this mama dog would stay in my yard. I think she would try and
escape.
I don't think any of the rescues are gonna help?

Aha, so you just confirmed that a person does need to be extremely careful
around and smart about coyotes and PLEASE, everyone, take the necessary
steps to protect your little ones. I hate to read the sad, heartbreaking
stories when a doggie or kitty dies from a health problem, but protecting
from predators is something we can do something about. The bird stories are
awful enough... Hope so much you made it in time to your drs appt, Beth, and
thanks so much to you girls -- such a wonderful job attempting between the
two of you to try to save those little chis in the parking lot, thank so
much from the bottom of my heart from all of us animal lovers out there that
are not as resourceful as people like you two girls. I've just been on pins
and needles reading your posts back and forth and the gallant efforts you
are both putting forth, hope so much you are successful. There sure does
seem to be a direct link to you and all the chis that keep coming in your
life Beth...Someone has taken note of your deep empathy and compassion for
the little punkins. I hope your chickies DO start laying those golden eggs
so you can save even more, chis, that is.

Yes it was Lynn, but she was a lucky pup, and on the heavier side. I heard
about that story as well.
Now the coyotes are another story, They have attack people here in CA. They
have know problem jumping a 5ft fence to get at small animals in their own
yards! Okay got to go!! Dr. Appt eek! hate going..
