Hi Naomi, You will find a lot of different opinions about this on this board about the natural vs. chemical approach. I use Frontline Plus on our Chis even though I cringe every time I put it on them for fear that is will harm them. We live in flea and tick country on the Lake Michigan Lakeshore and I do not have control over their environment as we do not have a fenced yard and have to walk them to go potty. Many on this list use Diatomaceous Earth in combination with other natural things. I tried that when we were at our home in FL and our dogs got fleas so I went back to the Frontline. Sue MI
