Emiliano has a reaction to the flea meds in the tube that you put between
the shoulder blades. Vet switched him to Comfortis, has worked well and he
takes it well. In the past I have used nematodes, and diatomaceous earth
in the yard, put some of the earth dust around the baseboards and even put
some in a sock and dusted my dog with it. Got rid of the fleas.

Apparently the Frontline does not work anymore on Itsy our newest member.
Going to have to come up with something else for her. Plus I think the
fleas like the ticks and black widow spiders and other pest we have here are
so much worse this year. One reason is because of the tornado damage that was
done that destroyed their natural habitats. Anyway, I am talking to the
vet Monday about the Comfortis, (sp) has anyone else used it and what kind of
results did you have?. I AM ALSO LOOKING INTO THE Diatomaceous earth,
even though it did not work for Bogie it might work for Itsy.. We never had
any idea exactly how old Itsy was and she is in heat now. Not letting her get
with another dog but just wondered if the female hormones generated from
the heat could cause the medication to not work anymore?

Thanks
Sheila
