Ok I understand where you guys are coming from but as a mom to a 16 year old 
with Aspergers, all of this sounds legit. We have 6 chis. My son adores each 
one and showers them with attention. He does however have deficits. He doesn't 
understand when they are trying to let him know that they don't want to snuggle 
with him. They are sometimes completely unaware of what is appropriate and what 
isn't. They don't know the social norms. And they would absolutely not think 
about what dangers could be outdoors. Especially 
If it was his bday and he was excited and focused on that. 
I am not making excuses for this guy but maybe he needs this group more than 
any of us. People with autism love their pets more than they do people and they 
have a connection with animals. It's like the animal knows. Being in a group 
like this would be extremely helpful in making him a more responsible pet 
owner. We may bring things to his knowledge that he never would have thought 
of. 
Like I said, not making excuses for the guy but it doesn't hurt any of us to 
stop and think about how to understand people who think differently and reach 
out to them. My two cents for free :)
