Oh what a shame ! But it sounds like he wasn't in a good place anyway. So happy you agreed to take him back. When ever I ever bred and re homed the babies, I always said " For what ever reason if you can no longer care for this puppy at anytime, I will take it back" ! I only had one come back. Same type of situation, the couple broke up, but the puppy was an adult and in good condition. I found him a forever home with a family member and he lived out his days happy. Beth
