I'm thinking that you both need some TLC…. what a difficult time you both are
going through.
Sending good thoughts and prayers that George is getting to the point where he
will be feeling better each day. Hugs, mj

Hi everybody!
George has really had his ups and downs over the last 2 weeks. He got his
bandages off on Monday, he is supposed to get his staples out tomorrow.
When we left the Dr.'s office, he was walking great on both legs, but by the
time we got home he didn't want to put weight on either one and was obviously
in lots of pain :( The vet upped his pain med frequency and added a sedative.
He wouldn't even stand to go potty for a couple of days. Then a few days later
he woke up and was standing on all 4 legs, kind of tiptoeing on his back legs,
but using them both. Whew!
One of his incisions is on the side of his knee, that one is healing
wonderfully. The other one is right on the front and pops open every time he
bends it all the way. It finally started to close in a little bit and is
finally looking like it is going to heal up.
He is shedding a lot, he looks patchy and his fur is still falling out like
crazy. Has anybody seen this happen after anesthesia or stressful event?
Also, he hasn't really been interested in eating, even his favorite treats.
Then on Saturday night he vomited white foamy stuff, kept a little bit of
turkey down, but didn't keep anything down yesterday, even plain water. He
threw up plain water after about 1/2 hour and it was rust colored with a little
bit of blood. We went to the ER vet and she gave him some subcutaneous fluid
and anti-nausea medicine and added pepcid and sucralfate to his daily regimen.
She thinks his tummy is irritaded from the metacam. So far today, he looks
like he feels better, but he still doesn't want anything to eat. He did keep
down some water. Any ideas to help him get his appetite back?

Thank you for the continued prayers and healing thoughts,
Quinn, George and Rylie

Thanks for the continued
