With His grace and mercy, along with prayers from friends and family (especially my hubby and my animals) I feel strong! I always appreciate prayer....it is stage 4, metastases to my liver (two surgeries already and on chemo through my newly installed port). Other than some side effects, I'm grateful!!!! However, on most days that does make me feel like I have the best job…Mommy to Dolly Dee & Desi Lou. I was just watching the two of them in the stroller. Dolly is acting so sweet like she is a tiny puppy and when I talk to her, she turns over halfway and sticks out one of her front legs because she wants me to ‘tickle her underarms’. Then one of my friends called, and Dolly was to the back of the stroller…laying a bit on her side with one of her back feet in her mouth and every once in a while I could see that she was cleaning it, the other time I think she was just ‘thinking’ with it just inside of her mouth…not licking…just laying there (I love when she looks so sweet!). Well, then there is Desi laying closer to the front of the stroller and he is almost in a little circle, but he is cleaning Dolly’s ears and her head in the back right behind her ears. I wish I had the camera, I would have taken a video of that. Then I was thinking why this was so cute and special…and I think it is because she was in some sort of low grade pain for a while with her abdominal hernia; then that was almost healed from the surgery when she got the horrific eye infection. I looked at her eyes yesterday and the one eyelid was still terribly swollen and I could see the red tissue inside the eyelid on the outer side. She was thinking with her foot in her mouth and all the worry lines were gone and I picked her up and her eyes look excellent. Thank God for that! She has been through so much. I am still giving her the Clavamox and eye ointment until I take her back to Dr Bullard on Thursday. More prayers are always needed. The big thing that I really need prayers for is tonight. Tonight I am going to take two of the stronger muscle relaxer pills…the past two nights I took one and slept through the night in the recliner chair. Tonight, I take two and sleep in the bed. If I get a cramp, the first one I will get up and do what I need to stop it, and then me and the little furry kids will go back to the recliner. I think then if I take two again the following night, I might be able to sleep longer without a cramp. IF the cumulative effect doesn’t work, then it will be the recliner until I go back on the 20th. I am really hoping I can sleep in the bed all night, because I do think I will have a more restful sleep laying down. I will report my progress tomorrow.
