We just got another 2 year old chihuahua. He was scared to the point that we
weren't sure he would ever accept our home but after 2 days (which is fast) he
is happy as can be with us and our other chi. He was supposedly trained but I
can't get him to go outside. He is a smart little guy but it's like he can't
get a clue to go outside to potty.
We have two others and take them all out - heap praise on them when they go and
hope he understands but it just goes right over his head. We have a fire
hydrant in front of our house which is loaded with doggie scents - so I took
him out there - NO! He sniffed it all over and walked away. Took him for a
walk - still nothing.
I have caught him going in the house and immediately pick him up and take him
to our doggie yard but nothing happens.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Is there a problem when they are
2 years old that they can't be trained as easily or at all?
