I am so sorry to hear your sad news. I too lost my girl a few months ago. She is buried in the garden a miniature standard rose tree and a herb garden around her. There is a an ornamental drinking bowl and statues of her puppy and one of me. Then she is buried with family photos and and an old jumper of mine. I sprinkle flower petals on the ground and can visit her every day. Its very sad but she will never be forgotten I am pleased we had one puppy from her, Bertie. She lives on in him. It has been very painful, but at the same time I have wonderful memories of happier times.
