My chihuahua doesn't hunt, but 1 of my yorkies is a big time hunter.  She has a 
very high prey drive, and will kill and eat anything she can catch.  So 
far...knock on wood...she's only gotten sick once and that was when she 
consumed an entire adult rabbit.  She's 12 yrs old now so I'm hoping she slows 
down pretty soon, but she's already gotten a bunny and a bird so far this 
spring.  I do worry about what kind of parasites she might be picking up, but 
she does enjoy the thrill of the hunt.
