We see a lot of lab mixes in the shelters here also. The south is more notorious for pit bull fighting I am ashamed to say so our shelters and BBB and craig listers are so full of pit and lab mixes. It drives me insane

Now after volunteering at our county humane society I have learned to respect them for the work they do. It is evident that our animal control officers really care about the animals they bring in. They want what is best for the animals. One of them even caught a dog that got loose when I was walking it(much to my mortification). So thank you for the job you do. That being said, it seems we have more Lab mixes right now than Pit mixes. Are you seeing that too or is it a fluke? I also feel strongly we must agree to disagree about Pit's and move on!
