Good morning !!!!
I had fun yesterday afternoon. I made up 2 banana cream pies with
slices of bananas on top. Then took one and walked over to Marie's place
(she lives with her son, daughter in law, and granddaughter). I caught
Lymon (her son) in the yard and handed him the pie. He took it and went
into the house. I just lo surprise people like that.
I took the second pie and walked down to the end of the street and gave it
to Bill and Jeannie. They are pretty much housebound because of illness's.
Sometime I am going to bake a batch of carrot cake cupcakes and take them
around to my entire neighborhood. I just love watching people's faces when
I do that. I always feel totally blessed!
Marie's family are the real neighborhood helpers. Lymon, sees that Bill and
Jeannie have dry firewood to heat their home and mows their lawn. He helped
me when I first arrived. He helps others by fixing their cars and doing odd
jobs for which he accepts no pay. By the way, Lymon is a grown man, ex Navy
Seal, but as gentle as a butterfly.
So that was my day yesterday - except for the fact I spent 4 hours shopping
at Walmart. I try to do most of my shopping there and at one time . I got
a notice from Walmart that the new phone I wanted has come into the store.
It has large buttons, a memory to put my favorites into, a speaker and best
of all a call recorder so I won't miss calls.
