Sarah why did you reply to me personally, instead of the group? Thanks for
the idea, I did find one that said you can fill the bottom of a large
plastic
bag with baking soda and leave the book in it for a couple of days. It's
suppose to absorb the odor. I have a couple of boxes of books and was hoping
there would be a faster way. I would need a lot of plastic boxes or bags and
tons of baking soda, or lavender lol!

Check on the net first because I'm not 100% sure but I do recall that bread
rubbed over the spine and pages will take the odor off. Short of that put
them in a storage box, plastic, with a couple of ounces of lavender and
leave for a bit. Good luck! I love old books but sometimes, whooo stinky!

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Musky odor on Books

Does anyone know how to get a musky odor out of books? Had some books stored
away in boxes and I can't stand the smell on them.

Thanks,
Peggy
