You know that is one thing that I don't fully understand. Dogs are mostly
carnivores and I have read that they don't digest cellulose which is what
most vegetables are. Sometimes I think that when everything hit a head with
the dog food companies to get rid of the filler foods, like wheat and corn
and too much rice is not beneficial to a dog, that they had to come up with
something they could add to the kibble, so veggies was it. I give my girls
a little bit of broccoli, and carrots, and sometimes pieces of corn as a
treat when I have it as part of my dinner, but just don't feel that it would
be beneficial to them as part of a regular diet.

frozen veggies are much healthier & less salty than canned. I'm diabetic,
the drs cram all that
in our heads.

Here is my recipe.
You process it in a food processor or grinder.

I whole chicken (boiled) and pull the meat off
1 large can Veg-All mixed veggies
1 large can plain pumpkin
2 eggs
1 large baked sweet potato

Mix it all up and keep refrigerated.

Does anyone make homemade food for your chis? I'm interested in doing so but
most of the recipes I've found are for huge amounts and I want to make some
food that is good for small breeds. Any advice would be appreciated.
