Actually it is 26% according to WebMD, but the percentage does almost double for females over 6 yrs of age. I have always wondered why? I mean, dogs have been around for centuries and when I was a kid, you never heard of breast cancer in a dog. It was considered very rare, just as it was rare for non neutered males. Why do so many of todays dogs get breast and testicles cancer? Haven't found the answer yet.
