I just saw a news item about dog harness safety.
A woman that had a dog injured wearing a dog harness in the car.
The dog ended up with a broken back.
The lady started a program dedicated to dog car safety....etc.
Long story short........
She did a test dummy dog like they do in cars with a human dummy.
She tested the 4 top dog harnesses.
In a simulated 30mph crash.
All of them FAILED.
Let me see if I can remember how......
One was to loose a fit on the straps attached to the seat allowing the dog to
reach the back seat and hit it head on.
Another did the same allowing the dog to twist and crash into the seat.
This one allowed the dog to flip/twist and ended up with the harness around his
neck.
The last one snapped/broke and the dog crashed into the seat
She used a 50lb test dog for her results.
Bottom line. They don't work.

I tried to Google and could not find any info on this.
I am sure it will show up somewhere.
