You're correct, had to tell. The breeder should be able to give her a good guess. I have had a breeder tell me that a certain dog "throws" small pups. So, she/he should have a better idea. However, I always remind people about my Emiliano, he was a half of a pound at 8 weeks, the breeder told me his mature weight would be 3 lbs, he is now at almost 4 years old, 6 lbs. 8 oz and he is not fat.
