Tri-Flex is an arthritis med for humans, but apparently people give it to
horses and large dogs too.

Trifexis is the flea/wormer for dogs. http://www.trifexis.com/Default

In our household there is only one thing we give........
we have been giving it for quite some time now..

We get Tri-Flex from our vet.
It takes care of flees, hearts worms/ internal(tape ...whip worms etc) and
what is fantastic we don't have to use tat stinky oily,$hit on the back of
their necks which didn't work all that great anyway. The TRI-Flex takes care
of that along with ticks. The miracle pill, 1 dose a month. But you have to
remember to give it on the same day each month. Our is the 15th of each
month so that means tomorrow is pill day.
We don't live in Florida but spent a year down there . Left home on Dec 11th
2011 and returned home Dec 4th
Sorry to you all-timers but that was just to long for me. Could have been
happy if could have stayed busy every day..decided that maybe 6-7 months is
the limit for us.

Back tp original QUESTION............we were down in Florida for all the 4
different searsons(haha) from the Panhandle to the keys and back up to
Ft Lauderdale....with trips into central Florida, We didn't pick up one fee
in all that time, the Tri-flez is great....1 time a month and no worries. I
still have heart worm check done each year to be safe......waste of money
lol.
The tri-flex is dispensed by weight. Four get 1 size and the other 4 get the
next up larger size.......would recommend it to *anyone*......& the dogs
like it. Only have 1 that woun't take it unless I cover it in some butter
1st.
But the pill works great for the whole year we were there so the critters
didn't get them there. and I live in OK in an area with real bad fells and
ticks.....they come and go fron yared to housethrough doggie door so they
have the opertunity to get them any time......they will even go out in what
we laughingly(if it is green ,,,now it and call it grass! call grass and lay
in the sun,

have to run.,,,,,,no giga bites left om this month.....glad that tomorroe is
teh 15th,

Hi All,
We are in FL with our gang where the fleas are voracious. The fleas are
immune to Frontline Plus here which I found out the hard way a few years ago
I have tried Comfortis which worked, but the dogs were still itchy because
the fleas have to bite first before they die. I tried the natural route
with DE and found fleas. The vet gave me Vectra 3D but our Rico must be
sensitive to it because he is very restless after I put it on until I give
him a bath. He doesn't sleep at night, won't go under his blankets, etc.
The other two are fine with it. The vet gave me Advantage to try with Rico
but he still was restless, just not as bad. As soon as I gave him a bath(I
waited 2 days) he relaxed and was himself. I hate to use these chemicals but
will not have fleas in the house either! Have any of you seen this
sensitivity in your dogs? I may have to go back to the Comfortis.

Ugh,
Sue
