I had insurance on 2 other dogs and said never again. It just may have been
my personal experience, but I really believe that vet upped his price so he
could collect the max from the insurance company, and I still had to pay out
a lot for the balance, plus the 500.00 deductible and the monthly rate that
I was paying. It was absolutely not worth it.

For me, I am better off putting a fund aside every month in case of an
emergency. If you decide to go with the insurance, really read and re-read
every thing that it covers and doesn't cover. Most of the insurance
companies don't cover preventative care, and when you do find one that does,
it is usually in their Gold packages that cost more then the basic shots and
exams and spay for the year.

has anyone gotten pet insurance for their Chi and if so did you like it.
Did they cover what you thought, what type of coverage did you get.
Is it worth it or did you find it an over all waste.

Piper is just over 4 months now so I am thinking of insurance for her.
