Chis that are poorly bred and/or pulled on collars often have collasping
trachea problems so a vet visit is in order. My toys nreeds are only walked on
a body harness to prevent problems. Fat makes it worse too so make sure he is
thin.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Gagging/coughing

My little guy that I rescued a couple months back is doing really good but when
he plays really aggressively or runs around too much he does this thing in
between a gag and a cough. I'm new to the breed so I am wondering is this
normal or should I be concerned. Thanks for your help.
