I believe the squelch levels span the frequency spectrum rather than
being channel-specific. I know that is the case on my Baofeng UV-XR.
The Baofengs' squelch levels need to be reduced drastically by
programming them on the CHIRP Settings pages. Chris Knowles, N1CAK
