I'm contemplating buying a Yaesu FTM-400XDR mobile transceiver. See http://systemfusion.yaesu.com/ftm-400dr-xdr/. I'm wondering if I have to buy the RT-SYSTEMS ADMS-M400-U software to program it, or if Chirp can do the job. I searched for FTM-400 in the supported models, but didn't find it. I also searched the last six months of email list archives without success. Does anyone know if this model can be programmed with Chirp? Any idea if this is a full programming software system, or just used to update the firmware of the radio?
