Bennie,

When a particular radio is not listed on the CHIRP website or in the program,
it is not supported (yet). Typically, as I understand it, a radio of the model
someone wishes CHIRP to support needs to be supplied, either as a loaner or as
a gift, to the developer that is willing to invest the time adding support for
the radio to CHIRP.

Your particular radio, the TK-2406, appears to be a fairly unique model, the
kenwood programming software, KPG-158, only supports two models (a VHF and a
UHF model I suspect).

I think the process to get support for a new radio begins with a 'new model'
request, which registered users (free account on chirp website) can enter here:

https://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/issues/new

Be sure and pick 'new model' for the "tracker" field in the top-most field on
the web page, and also indicate if you are able to loan your radio to a
developer interested in adding support for your radio to CHIRP.

Good luck, happy holidays!
