Another reason to scrap Bullseye....

After a successful CHIRP-next build on *Bullseye* 64, I discovered the
Baofeng UV5R USB-Serial interface (Prolific PL-2303) adapter cable
is not supported in Bullseye.  (according to all available threads on
the subject)
I had to re-build on *Buster* 64 for the interface cable/radio to be
discovered.
Any similiar experience on this, or possible work-arounds to make Bullseye
se the Prolific PL-2303?
P.S. - This is a genuine cable....not a conferfit knock-off
