Issue 1891: Site listed as "unavailable," when other browsers can find it; site has http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1891
Comment #3 by [EMAIL PROTECTED]: When Chrome connects to https://shirley2.davidson.edu/, WinHttpSendRequest fails with the SEC_E_ILLEGAL_MESSAGE error (0x80090326), which means "The message received was unexpected or badly formatted." This is an error we haven't encountered before, so we're mapping it to the default ERR_FAILED error code. It looks like the server is a TLS-intolerant server. I will use an SSL debugging tool to look at the SSL protocol messages tomorrow. For now, you can work around this bug by going to Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced > Security, turning off "Use TLS 1.0", and restarting Chrome. TLS 1.0 is more secure than SSL 3.0, so please remember to turn it back on. Or use Firefox.
