GoogleUpdate.exe actually exists in the scheduler.  And services.  And  
runs, at
startup, from the Windows registry.  It's a real pain to remove  
completely.  Would be
nice to have a way to have it only run/check at chrome startup (or startup  
of the
other Google apps installed).  At the _very_ least it should have an option  
to allow
me to defer updates 'til I think they're ready.

Perhaps following Google's own, published, software principles would help:
