Thanks for the report. In fact we have bug for this internally <b/1173782>.

This is because the menu is a windows menu that's running a modal loop which
probably is blocking the IPC messages saying update the renderer view. We
may be
able to fix this post beta by switching to ChromeMenu for the back and
forward
dropdowns.
