Issue 3125: Removing flash card results in endless error messages and beeps http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=3125
Comment #6 by allen.p.edwards: I sent an email with an attachment on a USB removable drive. I then tried to "Safely Remove Hardware" as it is not good form to just unplug a USB drive. I could not remove it as Chrome had not let go of the drive even after the email was sent. In my mind this is probably part of the same bug. I think Chrome has not released the CF drive and is unhappy when it finds out it isn't there after the CF card has been removed. As there is no valid file access operation going on, there is no way to indicate to Chrome that it should not look at the drive. I should note that it is not unusual for a program to complain when a CF card is removed if it thinks it should be looking at it. However, in every case I can remember, I am trying to access a file at the time and I just change to a valid drive and the problem is gone. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
