Going to google.com correctly redirects to google.co.uk but Chrome still  
insists on
searching google.co.kr.  I've even been to google.com/google.co.uk and saved
preferences (to try and force a new cookie, though I have not checked one  
was saved),
and have also restarted browser, waited 10 secs, etc with no success.
