Issue 433: WebKit should support ISINDEX as it is in the HTML 5 RFC http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=433
Comment #6 by [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Actually https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7139 is closed as Won't Fix meaning that the proposal to drop support for ISINDEX was rejected. The compelling argument for supporting ISINDEX appears to be its inclusion in HTML5. See the section on handling ISINDEX in http://www.w3.org/html/wg/html5/#parsing-main- inbody Granted it is a very rare tag. According to the WebKit bug less than 0.0013% of pages use the <isindex> element making it less common completely made up tags like <hot:trolley>. While it is in the spec we should have it on a list of things to work on but it should certainly be at the bottom of the list. Moving to be a P-3.
