Issue 987: Prompts for Adobe Flash Plug-in install
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=987
Comment #10 by [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
Okay....here is my observation with out FF on my machine.
The reporter might have tried to install flash plugin through Chrome, that
is,
through the info bar which might be causing this.
Steps to Repro
---------------
1. Go to ifilm.com
2. You will see an info bar to install plugin. Click on install plugin
3. A dialog pops up for confirmation. Click on "Get plugin"
This will launch a process to install flash player(something like
install_flash_player.exe) but doesn't actually complete installing the
player. I
tried to restart the machine, but wasn't able to until I killed the process
manually.
So when you restart the machine and go to the same page you will obviously
see the
plugin install message as it didn't get installed. I guess the reporter is
also
seeing the same.
I installed flash manually later and it worked.
