Issue 421: NT Auth login doesn't work http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=421
Comment #5 by tahlyn: I can't comment on the proprietary nature of the technology, I'm just pointing this out from a web developer's point of view. I happen to work at a company that uses NTLM and I'm just a regular web developer trying to test before pushing changes to a production site. I can test in Firefox because it supports NTLM. I don't know if Mozilla licensed this, if they reversed engineered it, or if it's a standard that can be used by anyone. All I know is that I can't test in Chrome. I think if Mozilla can get this to work, Google could too. Again, I'm just pointing this out from a web developer's point of view whose only motivation is to test in as many browsers as possible before pushing changes to production. I can't in Chrome so I'm pointing this out. It's up to Google to decide to support NTLM, just like Mozilla did. If NTLM is a proprietary technology (which I suppose it is) , I would still see it in the best interest of Google to support it to get their browser tested on as many sites as possible, just like Mozilla did. I would like to be able to test in Chrome -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
