Issue 2906: Cookie expiry code throws away valuable cookies (up limits, change to last-accessed) http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=2906
Comment #37 by vincentcheung: Comment 19: "We can definitely increase the limits. However, our values should be in the similar ballpark as Firefox, which seems to be unaffected. I want to make sure that this is indeed actually what's happening." I disagree. I was actually having cookie retention issues with Firefox as well. It wasn't as bad as Chrome though. I typically log into my online banks to check and pay bills once a month and Firefox was losing my cookies so that I had to retype my card number each time (annoying). Any site that I visited more frequently than just once a month was fine. I increased the max number of cookies and then everything was fine and dandy. I'm a heavy surfer and Chrome is losing cookies constantly even on sites that I visit daily. I'm not sure how the default maximum number of cookies in Chrome compares to Firefox, but Chrome drops cookies a lot faster, or at least ones that I care about. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
