Issue 4073: Feature Request - Search Engine box, or multiple default search
engines
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=4073

Comment #3 by [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
Assuming there's a keyword for the other search engines (happens for any
auto-added
engines), typing the first few letters of that keyword should bring up the
option to
search with that engine, generally just by pressing tab. This can
generally trigger
other engines faster than manually selecting from a list, even assuming we
knew what
short list of engines to present you on the list.

When changing the keyword provider heuristics to try and address engine
expiry, we
could also look at boosting frequently-used engines even when the keyword
has not
necessarily been typed. This is something I wanted to do from the very
beginning but
the specifics have never been totally clear.

We will not be adding a separate search box or the idea of
multiple "default" search
engines.
