Issue 2423: Windows Roaming Profile support http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=2423
Comment #3 by zhazhenzhong: I couldn't agree more with Gerry. cache folder should be relocated out of the profile folder. in addition to the big size of the cache folder, it makes chrome unportable. the cache folder has too high i/o activity. which may potentially reduce the life-span of flash-memories. so not many people is willing to carry chrome in their flash-drives or mp3 players. and using --user-data-dir to relocate the entire profile folder to a public host machine may pose a security threat, for files like [history] contains to much sensitive data. plus copying the profile data files back into flash-devices each time after exiting chrome is quite annoying. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
