Comment #2 by mint.mail: The System Colors in Chrome seems to be based on the webkit definitions. I think that these colors blend well with the MAC color scheme. This may be the right choice for mac apps (like safari) which keep a mac brushed metal look on all platforms but Chrome seems to try to blend in with the windows look and feel on windows so it should continue that by looking up the system colors from the windows api. These Colors are defined in the file Winuser.h and their winodws. The system Colors are handy for trying to create UI that blends in with the desktop on a given platform.
