FYI, Firefox has a preference in about:config named
network.http.proxy.version that
can be changed from 1.1 to 1.0.
I think this is a pretty low priority bug for Chrome. I doubt it impacts
many users.
Patches are definitely welcome. As for a solution, this might be a
reasonable thing
to add as a command line flag. (Command line flags are our equivalent to
Firefox's
about:config.) I would not block Mstone-1.1 for this.
