Comment #1 on issue 4683 by uranium: Allow completion of foo->foo.com instead of search by default http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=4683
Sorry--submitted too fast. My preferred solution would be a preference allowing me to specify that I want "foo" to default to "foo.com", and never to send a query to a search engine without me either selecting that option from the omnibox list or using a search keyword. A close second would be to have a preference making "foo" default to trying to reach http://foo/, and then failing if it's not found. Yes, I know I can type a slash after a machine name to make that latter case work. That fails for foo.com, so it's my second choice. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
