Comment #11 on issue 384 by unknown.unit: Make new tab page have option of restoring last session on startup http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=384
I use the "restore pages" option only because I'm using the developer builds and of course I have fairly frequent crashes (as expected when using in development software.) but often I close down the browser manually with a bunch of open tabs, and they auto- reload on restarting. Most of the time I don't want this, I only closed all tabs at once because it's tedious to close one by one. Most times I only want to restore the previous session in event of a crash. I really dislike Firefox's dialog popup, however - extremely intrusive, and I only occasionally want to restore. So the idea of opening with the "favourite pages and bookmarks" tab and on there having a "restore previous session" link very much appeals to me. If possible, there should still be the "auto-restore on crash" option, only executed in case of a crash, presuming that it is possible to identify whether the browser crashed or was shut down manually. If it's not possible to determine, then no auto- restore and only the link on the first tab, which can be used whether there was a crash or not. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
