Comment #17 on issue 3939 by [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Regression: Browser crash
with drag and drop
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=3939

I've never seen it crash in a way that is described here but I discussed
this a little with Ben today
since I saw a report from Support about a similar crash <b/1508182>. Ben
said this might be related to
the problem where tabs jump out of the tabstrip, which is something I can
relatively easily reproduce
although it can take up to a minute to do so.

Here is what I did...

1) Open three random sites, each in its own tab
2) In one of those pages go to a download site and start downloading a file
that takes a while to
download (minutes).
3) Now put some additional stress on your machine, ie. open a Command
Prompt in Windows, and issue an
expensive directory search - say... all text files on your disk (doesn't
matter which search, as long as
it takes a while):
    c:
    cd \
    dir *.txt /s
4) Open another command prompt, and issue a different search (say dir *.exe
/s)
5) Now, while the file is still loading and the two searches are still
running, try the following using
only the mouse:
   a) switch to tab A
   b) move the mouse cursor below tab strip
   c) switch to tab B
   d) move the mouse cursor below tab strip
   e) Do the above for tab A, then B, then C, B, A, B, C, ... (always moving
the mouse below the tab
strip).

You'll notice that Chrome periodically becomes just a little janky and once
it animates back to life it
has sometimes flung the last tab I clicked on out of the tab strip and into
its own window. According to
some users, putting the tab back causes a crash like this one.

This one is also noticing a similar thing, although with Open link in new
window, which did not repro for
me:
